From St. Paul, Minnesota, Gjelten is an actor and dancer. After graduating from the Gallatin School at NYU he studied at the LAByrinth Theatre Company and the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Since moving to LA he’s trained and performed at The Sweat Spot and The Groundlings and with Marjorie Ballentine.
Best known for freaking out in Fitz and The Tantrums’s video "The Walker" & Pharrell Williams's "Happy", he’s also worked with Peaches and Margaret Cho. His first national commercial, a Little Caesar’s spot directed by Harold Einstein, aired at the end of last year. Television credits include Henry Danger on Nickelodeon. Other performances include The Ace Hotel, The Cavern Club, Full Frontal Disco, Highways Performance Space, and The Machine Project. He annually hosts a Noel Coward play reading on his rooftop in Silver Lake.
